The food share stand was built with the purpose of sharing excess harvest from the Brewery Creek Community Garden and associated members with our neighbours. By doing so, we hope to reduce food waste and promote food security in our community.

If you see items in the Food Share Stand, please feel free to take them home. Any items left at the stand should be considered as coming straight from the dirt and are NOT CLEAN. Therefore, it's VERY important to wash all produce with soap and water once you get home.

The project was generously funded by the Responsive Neighbourhood Small Grant, offered by the Vancouver Foundation in 2020, as a response to the changes COVID-19 has made to our daily lives. The grant funds "projects that connect people socially or involve sharing skills or talents with each other".
